“The place of motivation is the place of activation and the place of inspiration is the place of aspiration. It's compulsory! You will always be activated when you are motivated; and aspire when you are inspired”

2017: YOUR YEAR OF UNIQUE EXEMPTION (FROM “EVERY HEAT” OF YEAR 2017) – Psalm 1:1-3!
WELCOME!
Feature Article
It is no longer news to say that we live in a very challenging world. Even the Bible, God's WORD, confirms it. Whether we admit it or not, we get beaten at one time or the other by the storms of life - the regrets of yesterday's failures and the pains that come with them, the fear of the unknown bearing with it the challenge of the future.

3 POSITIVE ATTITUDES OF A COMMENDABLE SWEEPER

Perhaps, it will make sense to start this article with this question: "If you are called to be a church or mosque sweeper, in total voluntary service to your God, how will you respond to the call?" For some, they'll probably see it as a form of humiliation and would never accept it. To others, they'll simply accept it "to fulfill all righteousness." For a third category, they'll accept the responsibility and render the service whole-heartedly, as unto the Lord.

A commendable sweeper is one that responds to the call above under the third category – accepting the responsibility to render his service whole-heartedly, as unto the Lord. He does not look for or care about people's commendation, although he often gets it on the long run. He takes pride in his work and feels good when it is finished or accomplished. Outlined below are 3 positive attitudes of a commendable sweeper.
1.         He works whole-heartedly: Ever heard the statement, "What is worth doing is worth doing well?" Well, this is the number one positive attitude of a commendable sweeper – he works whole-heartedly, hence, without the need for supervision. Let's face it: most of us do our best only when someone else is watching. We seem to really be in form at our point of voluntary duty when someone can commend us. This, in itself, is a problem. It is a negative attitude that never attracts commendation. Therefore, we should avoid it.
2.         He works to achieve excellence: The key point here is this: true fulfillment in life comes when we do things excellently well, even when no one is paying attention. Whether we like to admit it or not, God is paying attention. He watches the church sweeper sweep, like he watches the president preside and commends their faithfulness, not position. It's okay if others notice and commend our effort but if they don't, it's still okay because God takes notice anyway.
3.         He works to achieve maximum satisfaction: We need to learn to be like the commendable sweeper who takes full responsibility and sweeps with his whole heart, rendering his service as unto the Lord. It is only then that we can achieve maximum satisfaction for ourselves and our boss (or master). When satisfaction is not achieved on a job done, especially for someone else, it is as good as not doing such a job.
At this point, pause for a moment and ask yourself these questions: Am I a commendable husband to my wife (and vice versa)? Am I a commendable child to my parents? Am I a commendable worker in the house of God? Am I a commendable boss or employee in the business establishment where I find myself? Am I doing my job commendably well or am I just "fulfilling all righteousness?" What can I do to move towards commendation? As you ponder on these questions, may you find answers that will make you a better steward in life. I encourage you: Stay highly commendable!
