DIAMONDS IN THEIR UNREFINED STATE: 2 KEY WAYS TO IDENTIFY THEM

Albert Einstein said, “In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.” Once discovered, such opportunities become like valuable diamonds hidden in the sand. Richard DeVos is accurate when he points out, “This is an exciting world. It is cram-packed with opportunities. Great moments wait around every corner. Those moments are diamonds that, if left unrecognised, will be forever lost.”
Simply put, diamonds in their unrefined state talks about day to day opportunities that regularly present themselves in such a way that we often miss them. Do you look for diamonds everyday as you go in and come out? You better do, otherwise, you may easily pass them by as you walk along in life, since you may not recognize them. Outlined below are 2 key ways to recognize diamonds when you come across them:
1. Be vigilant: This simply means to be on the alert or pay attention to things that people will ‘normally’ ignore. Perhaps, there is a diamond of opportunity hidden in that situation you’re going through right now. Perhaps! Perhaps, there is a diamond of opportunity hidden in that difficulty you’re experiencing right now. Just perhaps! Are you able to discern it? Be vigilant! Believe me, there’s a diamond in every demon situation you encounter in life.
2. Be passionate: Passion often delivers to us our desires because it creates an enthusiasm in us to pursue our cause. Diamonds are never discovered by people who give up too soon in their quest. So, be passionate about what you want to achieve for your life and in your life! Be passionate about getting hooked to an opportunity today! Be passionate about grabbing the next available privilege that comes your way! When you apply passion in your quest, you don’t lose opportunities. The diamonds are naturally exposed before your very eyes to take advantage of. So, be passionate!
It’s really interesting to know that we’re daily surrounded by opportunities, even though we seldom know it. The problem is that we forget the fact that diamonds never present themselves in their pure state when discovered – they are always in their unrefined state. They don’t come all nicely cut and polished when taken directly from the earth as compared to the way we usually see them. This is why it’s important to get those goals clearly quantified and written down somewhere where we can regularly see them. It will keep our subconscious mind working on the most important things. With the two key ways of identifying diamonds that I’ve outlined above, I bet you’ll never miss another diamond (opportunity), no matter how it presents itself. So, my advice to you is: Stay vigilant to opportunities!
